APRIL 23, 2025
The ASEAN-China Centre and Guangxi Minzu University jointly organised a seminar on the recently launched State of Southeast Asia 2025 Survey Report in Nanning, China, on 16 April 2025. Dr. Sufrizul Husseini, Associate Researcher at the Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS) Brunei, presented an in-depth analysis on the implications of the latest U.S. tariff measures on both China and Southeast Asia. His presentation explored the economic impact of shifting trade policies on regional supply chains, investment flows, and ASEAN’s strategic positioning. The seminar facilitated meaningful academic exchange, with ASEAN and Chinese scholars engaging in issues of regional trust, geopolitical tensions, and economic resilience.
