CSPS focuses on research, analysis and policy advice on issues of strategic importance to the country. It also continuously monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of current policies for refinement and revision. The aim is to support decision makers with pertinent data and policy advice so that our stakeholders can make informed policy decisions.

Since its establishment, CSPS has identified eight main areas of study:

  • Economic Growth and Development
  • Energy Policy
  • Transport and Infrastructure
  • Finance and Investment
  • Labour and Education
  • Social Policy
  • Health Policy
  • Futures Studies

These studies are conducted in alignment with developing the key national strategies that have been identified to form the basis for achieving Brunei's long term development plan, Wawasan 2035.

Research work is headed by the Chief Researcher and a team of Researchers and Associate Researchers.
