Dr Azrinah attended the Southeast Asia Civil Society Forum on Women, Peace and Security (WPS), held on 4–5 October 2026 in Manila, Philippines. During the Forum, Dr Azrinah moderated the plenary session “Women’s Resistance, Resilience, and the Future of Peace,” bringing together perspectives from Cambodia and Myanmar. The session explored women’s experiences of conflict, displacement and human insecurity; the role of women and civil society in sustaining peace and political agency; and the need for stronger regional action and solidarity. The Forum provided an important platform for regional dialogue on advancing the WPS agenda in Southeast Asia, including strengthening women’s meaningful participation and influence in peace and security processes.
