The Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS) hosted a Hari Raya celebration at the CSPS Building yesterday, bringing together children from the Children's Cancer Foundation (YASKA) for morning of laughter, community, and festive cheer.
This initiative reflects CSPS's commitment to supporting vulnerable communities in Brunei Darussalam. It also provided an opportunity for CSPS staff to engage directly with the community while recognising the strength and resilience of the children and their caregivers during Syawal.
The event commenced with welcoming remarks by CSPS Executive Director Dr Diana Cheong, who shared that it was a privilege to hose such inspiring young guests, adding that the warmth and joy throughout the morning embodied the spirit of Hari Raya.
The celebration featured engaging activities aimed at creating lasting memories.
Guests enjoyed a festive bunch with traditional Raya favourites, followed by a singing session involving both the children and CSPS staff.
The programme also included a donation and gift-giving ceremony, ensuring each child received a token of celebration.
YASKA President Tsara' Nawwarah binti Abdullah Chen was present.
