CSPS held its MSME Engagement Session on 30 July 2026, attended by MSMEs, youth participants and rice-industry actors. This session is for the CSPS implemented project "Promoting Youth Engagement and Employment in Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Agriculture and Food Systems for Food Security: An Action Research on the Rice Value Chain in Brunei Darussalam", which is supported by GGGI (Global Green Growth Institute) - BKCF (BIMP-EAGA-Republic-of-Korea-Cooperation-Fund).
Dr. Sufrizul Husseini, CSPS Associate Researcher and Deputy Project Leader, presented on business opportunities across Brunei’s rice value chain and results from CSPS' rice value chain analysis. This was followed by a presentation on Brunei’s rice industry by Pengiran Abdul Muizz Al-Azim bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Halim, Juruekopertanian, Jabatan Pertanian dan Agrimakanan (Department of Agriculture and Agrifood, DOAA) dan Awang Tay Ching Mong, Penolong Pegawai Pertanian, Jabatan Pertanian dan Agrimakanan (DOAA).
The session concluded with experience sharing and discussion on potential business ideas, networking and future collaboration across the rice value chain.
