The 10th Annual International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) was held virtually on September 19-20, 2022. ICSD provides a forum for academia, government, civil society, UN agencies, and the private sector to come together to share practical solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Dr Koh Wee Chian, CSPS Head of Economics and Finance, co-chaired Session 7B on Fiscal Policy and Governance in Support of Sustainable Development. The presentations covered (i) environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues in the palm oil industry in Malaysia; (ii) the impact of fiscal and governance policies towards SDGs in India; (iii) public investment and SDG financing in Sri Lanka; (iv) the importance of infrastructure enabling environment in developing countries; and (v) the role of natural resources and sovereign wealth funds during the COVID-19 pandemic.
