The Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS) has been appointed as the national consultant by the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, through the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) as National Secretariat of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Council, to undertake Brunei’s National Mid-Term Review (MTR) of the Implementation of the ASCC Blueprint 2025.

The ASCC Blueprint 2025 was adopted by ASEAN leaders at the 27th ASEAN Summit on November 22, 2015. It contains ASEAN’s vision on realising an inclusive, sustainable, resilient, and dynamic ASEAN Community that engages and benefits the people.

The contract was signed by Permanent Secretary (Community and Culture) at the MCYS Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari and Permanent Secretary (Vision, Finance and Cabinet) at the Prime Minister’s Office Pengiran Hajah Siti Nirmala binti Pengiran Haji Mohammad in her capacity as Acting Executive Director of CSPS. The event took place at the Jerudong Sports Complex and was attended by senior officers from MCYS and CSPS.
