THE Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS) concluded the third session of its Executive Development Workshop Series in Strategic Foresight and Strategic Planning on April 26.
This session entitled ‘Action Learning & Evaluation’ was facilitated by CSPS certified trainers, Dr Diana Cheong, Dr Sophiana Chua binti Abdullah and Yuzilawati Abdullah, who assisted participants in refining their draft Strategic Plans, based on Strategic Foresight and Haines 10-step Systems Management tools covered in two prior sessions held previously this year.
Participants came from different organisations including the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Development, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Management Service Department, the Civil Service Institute, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School, Allied Engineering Solutions, and Sprintville Technologies.
Participants commented that using the arsenal of tools provided was extremely useful in crafting their respective strategic plans once they understood how and when to apply them.
Participants also commended the future-oriented approach of the strategic foresight tools and the systematic and comprehensive nature of the strategic management model learned throughout the Workshop Series.
The next cycle of the Workshop Series in Strategic Foresight and Strategic Planning is slated to take place in the near future.
