Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies also known as CSPS is a Body Corporate funded by the Government of Brunei Darussalam. It was established on the 15th June 2006. His Majesty's Government officially announced the appointment of CSPS Board of Directors and Executive Director on 1st July 2006.
The Centre produces independent, objective, quality policy-relavant research, to maximise its accessibility to policy makers, influences, and stakeholders, and to have it affect policy in areas that are key for Brunei Darussalam's sustainable development according to the Brunei Darussalam's Wawasan 2035.
CSPS's research is designed, implemented and disseminated to stakeholders that emphasizes the principles of participation, ownership and commitment.
CSPS undertakes its programs and research projects in partnership with various government agencies, international partners, other research and tertiary institution to support it research and capacity building, the Centre also organizes roundtable, seminars, forums and workshops.
| The function of the Centre, in accordance with the CSPS Act 2006, include: (a) The advancement and dessimination of knowledge and the promotion of research on Brunei Darussalam and on allmatters pertaining to Brunei Darussalam's interests (b) the conferring and awarding of diplomas, certificates and fellowships. |
