Message from Executive Director
| Policy research is imperative for any country looking to develop its economic potential to the optimum. It promotes public awareness on the grounds of proven facts and figures and encourages rich dialogue among highly capable and dynamic individuals who are agents of change in this country. As the premier think tank in Brunei Darussalam, CSPS seeks to become the guiding hand for the nation's policymakers. Policy recommendations and findings drawn from its research projects are socialised to its stakeholders to enable them to act on informed decisions. It brings together stakeholders from the public and private sectors and prominent experts to discuss strategic issues that can be translated into policy directions. To date, topics include youth and unemployment, social security, alternative energy, energy efficiency and conservation and land optimisation. As the Centre matures, we will continue to embark on and to tackle larger scale projects of national interest, with economic diversification and the goals of Wawasan 2035 in mind, without compromising on our cultural, environmental and social identity. |
