The Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS) celebrated its 15th anniversary in Jalan Pasar Baharu, Gadong yesterday.
Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin who is also CSPS chairman was the guest of honour. Permanent Secretary (Vision, Finance and Cabinet) at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Pengiran Hajah Siti Nirmala binti Pengiran Haji Mohammad in her capacity as CSPS Acting Executive Director also attended.
Themed ‘CSPS STRIVE’, the event highlighted how the centre strives in building its organisation as a whole with substantive contributions to society while conducting research as its main function.
CSPS also carried out a one-day event featuring a blood donation in collaboration with Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) where 28 pints were collected. Donors received mugs for their contribution.
There was also a bazaar and self-development workshops.
Three local entrepreneurs were invited to discuss their experience during the self-development workshops which included ‘Introduction to Digital Marketing and Basics of Photography’ by One Media, ‘Small Steps to Financial Independence’ by Esjay and ‘Welcome to NFT’ by Asyranhazwan.
Thirty vendors participated at the event selling products including clothes, food and drinks.
Dato Seri Paduka Dr Haji Abdul Manaf also presented certificates of participation to JPMC, workshop facilitators and vendors.
The first 50 visitors received door gifts in the form of chocolate.
